Frédéric Savart is a fiercely individual Champagne maker making beautifully expressive, vivid and crystalline champagnes of great depth and power. Their balance of vibrancy and flavour is utterly compelling and their scarcity is testament to their already high global demand. Savart returned to his family Domaine in the village of Écueil around 25 years ago, after toying with a career as a professional footballer. Savart’s grandfather had planted his first vines in 1947 and later passed his tiny property to Savart’s father. Frédéric worked alongside him whilst purchasing more holdings, until taking over completely in 2005.
