A very elegant expression of Nebbiolo, slightly lighter and fresher compared to the Piedmontese style. Hints of rose, violet and fresh red fruits with delicate and smooth tannins.
A truly inspiring wine!
The grapes here come from 50 year old Nebbiolo vines planted on a very rocky cru called Sassella, which in local dialect means rock. The terraces here are at the steepest part of the valley and the cru sits at 500m above the sea level.
